If say the same house was $620,000 (approx but could be higher) outside of the complex but you paid insurance (lets say $3000) each year, put some money aside for maintenance and mowing. After those expenses you may pay approx $3000 extra each year but you have the safe and security of being in the complex, lawns are mown, gates and an onsite mager is there to help.

It may take 20 years to make up that difference ($60,000/$3000) making buying in Stillwater appealing.
